WEST RIDING CUP.

After ninety minutes excellent football, which was witnessed by about 10,000 people, of whom Mr. H. Chapman, the Arsenal manager, and former of Huddersfield Town, was an interested spectator, Leeds United defeated Bradford Park Avenue by four goals to two in the final of the West Riding Senior Cup at Elland Road. After the match, the Lord Mayor of Leeds (Ald. G. Ratcliffe) presented the cup and medals to the victors and medals to Bradford. United gained their revenge, for last season they were defeated by Bradford by the odd goal in five, which was scored with the last kick of the match. In Saturday's match United played the same team that defeated Huddersfield Town by seven goals to one, while the Avenue men had their promotion side in the field, with the exception that Hart led the attack in place of MacDonald. It was rather a pity for the losers, that Quantrill, who played an exceptionally fine game in the first half, had to retire early in the second, but nevertheless, Bradford made a plucky effort to win. The scores at half-time were Leeds United 3 goals, Bradford 2. The second half opened in sensational fashion, Keetley scoring what proved to be the last goal of the match.
